We decided, being that far north we'd be fools not go to Acadia National Park. It's ridiculous to say it was beautiful. Of course it's beautiful. But we had no way to know just how moving and stunning it would be. It was impossible not to be contemplative…and grateful.

And then, and then…then I got to go kayaking last night with my nephew. The Connecticut River at sunset. By the time we made it back to the boat launch the fireflies were out in force and the stars were dancing on the river.
It started as apprehension: "what are we going to do, no work…where will we live…?" Still concerns, valid ones. But thanks to our gifts in friends and family and our Creator who not only made all of these memories possible but moved our generous friends to their generosity, well, thanks to that we are more than 'fine', we are rich. Indeed.
